Results Day

Dear Parent,

I hope your child has had a positive start to their GCSE examinations and that they are feeling confident and supported. Following the recent Year 11 GCSE Preparation Evening, I wanted to remind you that GCSE results day is scheduled for Thursday 22 August 2024, with results available for collection in person from 10.00am.

For students opting to receive results via email, please ensure your child emails this request to Mrs Hickman, specifying this preference – khickman@blessededward.co.uk . Your child’s school email account will be kept active for this purpose.

If your child is unable to collect their results in person and wishes for someone else to do so on their behalf, please ensure they provide a letter to Mrs Hickman authorising this arrangement and giving the name of the authorised person. This person will need to bring photo ID with them on the day so that results can be released.

On results day itself, key staff such as our Exams Officer, Careers team, Senior Leadership Team and most Heads of Department will be in school to assist students and parents with queries. Worcester Sixth Form College will also be open and can be contacted directly on 01905 362600.

Other Post 16 providers are also available all day in The Hive. Please note that any results queries after 22 August will not be dealt with until school reopens on Monday 2 September 2024. Please be assured, however, that all queries will be dealt with before exam board deadlines. Please be aware that exam boards charge administration fees for utilising their post results services, and parents may incur a charge if the school contacts the exam board at their request.
